In addition to the traffic study commissioned by the applicant, the City of Snellville has published revised application documents including a new `Letter of Intent` and site plan. The primary difference in the revised proposal is the addition of a driveway and curb cut onto Hwy. 78 solely to serve the religious campus portion. The revised plan does not eliminate any curb cuts on Rosebud Road, the number of which has been a major concern of area residents.
The application remains on the Planning Commission agenda for Tuesday evening, November 27 at 7:30 pm, Snellville City Hall.

I have been appointed to the citizen panel which is charged with making a non-binding recommendation on the annexation of the tract at the corner of Rosebud Road and Brushy Fork Road. The property is currently under consideration for annexation into the city and rezoning to allow the construction of a daycare center.
The panel should begin meeting almost immediately and offer a recommendation by mid-November.
My appointment immediately drew the ire of Council member Warren Auld and others. In an email to other Council members, Auld wrote:
I ask that we voice opposition to Bob Griggs. While I understand that the County can appoint whom they choose, Mr. Griggs has shown he has already decided how he will vote on this issue. The results of any decision will not be arrived at fairly and the credibility of any decision will be suspect. As one who will be required to listen to this issue, the fact that the applicant will not receive a fair hearing renders the process and the ultimate decision meaningless.
I would like the City to note an o bjection for the record based upon the demonstrated bias of one of the participants.
Thankfully, Auld cannot prevent the county from selecting someone from the community whose interest in protecting the area exceeds his own.

Gwinnett County has today notified the City of Snellville that Garmon Drive resident Sam Rosamond has been named to represent the county on the Citizen Review Panel concerning the annexation of 22.7 acres at Temple Johnson Road and Garmon Drive.
The annexation and rezoning for 149 homes on 42.8 acres (3.5 units per acre) in an “R-HOP” (Residential - Housing for Older Persons) Community had been tabled by the City Council until November 26 to allow for the dispute process to continue.
