Details sketchy on church proposed for Rosebud/78

After talking with the applicant for the annexation and rezoning at Hwy. 78 and Rosebud Road this afternoon, I have more questions than answers regarding the proposed church for the southernmost 25 acres of the 46-acre tract.

According to Danny Herrmann of Diversified Development, he has yet to receive a firm commitment from Higher Ground Planning, a Georgia for-profit corporation that has expressed interest in acquiring the property for a non-denominational ministry. Higher Ground has until 9/18 to present a commitment letter and earnest money.

A representative of Higher Ground Planning has reportedly agreed to attend the Planning  Commission meeting on September 25 if the Atlanta-based real estate developer plans to proceed with the deal with Herrmann. The applicant has also agreed to provide additional details after the 18th.

It appears that Higher Ground Planning may be acting as the representative of a yet-to-be-identified congregation.
